Hello,

As a little St David's Day treat, we wanted to share some really exciting news about The Mab. We're deep into the writing and editing phase of the book at the moment and all our authors are working hard to retell each of the stories of the Mabinogion. It's so exciting to see the stories take shape and the book begin to come together. And, as each story is edited, our wonderful illustrator, Max Low has been creating the artwork. Max is such an important part of The Mab. We hope that this book will introduce whole new generations of kids to these tales and it was important to us that each story looks vibrant, exciting, and unlike any previous version of the Mabinogion. 

One of the stories that is finished and edited is the Dream of Rhonabwy. This story is being retold by Claire Fayers, the current winner of the Tir na n-Og award. I'm thrilled to be able to show you the finished illustration for the story. I hope you like it. I can see a storyteller, some bandits, but what's that hiding in the tree?
