Think like a Vegan: What everyone can learn from vegan ethics, thinklikeavegan | Emilia Leese and Eva Charalambides | undefined
Dearest Supporters,
How are you? We've managed to keep busy, despite all the ups and downs.
What's happening with our book?
We've just submitted the development edits to our manuscript. We're delighted with how the finished book is shaping up. Thank you, Phil Connor for your brilliant insights on our manuscript. Now, onto the copy editing!
What else has been going on?
We've also been working on a variety of related and unrelated projects.
In May, Emi was invited by Vegan Leaders to one of their live casts, where she and Emma Osborne of Citizen Kind discussed “Corona Virus Lessons Learned for Vegan Leaders”. In June, she reprised her conversation with Emma for Istabul Veg Fest. Zoom has its advantages, that's for sure. In June, she was interviewed by The Vegan Review for an article entitled, "Why Alt-Milk Isn't Milk, According to The EU". Emi will have a new piece in issue 10 of Brightzine, currently slated for publication at the end of 2020.
Eva has been keeping a video diary on Tik Tok, documenting her and her partner's progress on building a tiny home in an idyllic bit of forest they recently purchased in Ontario, Canada. Often working in the woods (and preferably within her hammock seen below) she recently began leading the Marketing and Communications team for Shamayim: Jewish Animal Advocacy, a vegan nonprofit. With the recent loss of her beloved companion rabbit, Dorito, she has felt empowered to continue her work advocating for animals at every opportunity.
We'd love to hear from you!
Leave us a comment here, or get in touch with us on social media or thinklikeaveganbook@gmail.com. And please keep sharing word about our book. It's available to pre-order and anyone who does so will still get their name included in the back of the book.
Keep well and safe.
With love and gratitude,
Emi & Eva
