I know you're all keen to get your hands on your copy of Legends of the Leaf... today I can reveal the finalised cover for the book, which I hope you love as much as I do.

The cover features some of Helen Entwisle's illustrations from the book, and was designed by Mark Ecob, associate art director for Unbound.

The title will be decked out in a green foil so it should really pop; I love the way the leaves look and the combination of colours against the black background. I know lots of you really liked the initial cover design: I did too, especially with its "you know if you know" hat tip to my childhood houseplant bible, The Houseplant Expert by Dr David Hessayon. But the chosen design beautifully showcases the illustrations in the book, and I think it will really stand out on the shelves.

I am so grateful for all of you for helping me get to this point: you are believed in the idea and were prepared to back this book financially. But you may be wondering - why is the book's publication date set for the seemingly far off month of April 2023? Although the writing, editing and laying out of Legends of the Leaf is pretty much done, tt takes months to get a book printed, so in this world of immediate gratification, this is one thing you are going to have to continue to wait patiently for.

In the meantime, my podcast On The Ledge continues to fly the flag for houseplants every week: check it out here
