Dear friends,

'I am settled, and bend up
Each corporal agent to this terrible feat.' (Macbeth, Act I sc 7)

Not long now – just four months to the publication of (note the tweaked title) Fair or Foul: The Lady Macbeth Guide to Ambition.

The text has been edited and polished, the presses are warming up, ink is bubbling away in the witches’ cauldron. It’s happening!

Having taken a sneak early look, some kind and loyal friends have been very generous in their assessment of it. It is 'wise' and 'compelling', according to Sathnam Sanghera, 'it encourages readers to ask profound questions about meaning and purpose.'

Viv Groskop says it is 'a brilliantly readable and inspiring study of our love–hate relationship with ambition.' Alastair Campbell says it is 'a welcome blast of clear thinking about ambition and how we choose to lead our lives.'

Which is nice.

Official publication day is 25 July, and there will be a launch party in Hoxton, east London (near Old Street tube), on Tuesday, 23 July. Save the date and do try to be there if you can. You can also pre-order (more) copies now! https://unbound.com/books/the-lady-macbeth-guide-to-ambition

More (inevitably) soon.
