The Carpet Merchant of Konstantiniyya: Volume II,the-carpet-merchant-volii | Reimena Yee | undefined

Hello everyone,

What a year it was last year! First off, I must apologise for the lack of updates and the slowness of the crowdfunding. Due to the pandemic and the economic difficulty it entailed to so many people, I personally felt uncomfortable constantly marketing this campaign, and then, of course I got swamped by other professional obligations. (Not an excuse but an explanation) That is to say, thank you so so much for your saintlike patience and trust. I acknowledge the weight of such kindness and am truly grateful to have amazing supporters like you. I hope all of you are doing well! And that we're all moving at the pace we choose towards recovery. <3

Now that we're this close to 100%, we're going full speed ahead and fingers crossed, we will get the book out later this year or early next (based on the production timeline of the previous book).

To reiterate, the story is already done. The only thing left for me to do on my end is to remaster the artwork and prepare the pages for print. What this campaign does is to fund the print, design, production and distribution costs of compiling those digital pages into a hardcover book, so the remaining 7% is the major block from that goal.

There are three new reward levels now, all of which include the previous book, The Carpet Merchant of Konstantiniyya Volume 1. Here they are:

  1. Volume 1 and Volume 2 bundle (unsigned)
  2. Volume 1 and Volume 2 bundle (both signed copies)
  3. Volume 1 and Volume 2 bundle (unsigned) AND the enamel pins from both campaigns: the nightingale and the bat.

If you'd like to upgrade your pledge you can do so through your Unbound account (the email you used to join this campaign). More advice in this article. If you don't see a reward bundle you want and wish to build a custom pledge instead, please contact our campaign manager, cassie@unbound.co.uk to make a request.

The Carpet Bookmark, etc. Once the campaign reaches 100% I will be contacting the manufacturers of the bookmark and enamel pins, so stay tuned for more updates in the future.

And that's it from me. Again, thank you for the patience. Hopefully there won't be any more major delays. Let's go!!

With love always,
Reimena
