Hello,

With publication just a few weeks away, I’ve been busy thinking about publicity. I’ve already got a few events and festivals in the diary, and am even planning to organise one myself on the Suffolk coast in September. In March I’ll be going and see the book on press, and while I’m there, signing the copies that will be posted to those whose pledge reward includes a signed copy of the book.

It’s taken a while to get to this point, so if you’ve moved house recently (as I have done), please log in to Unbound and update your account. I’d hate your book to go astray!

Researching the life and work of George Ewart Evans meant spending time in and around Blaxhall where he lived and wrote Ask the Fellows who Cut the Hay the book that inspired my own. I discovered that there is no blue plaque in the village to mark that connection, so with the parish council and village church, I’ve just launched a crowdfunding campaign to put that right. It will be publicised next month, but for now, we’re letting villagers and supporters chip in first.

Not long to wait now.

Thanks,

Robert
