It's so exciting to be at the final stages of the journey of getting Lost & Found out into the world. It has been a long road, but a very enjoyable one - thank-you, all of you, for your generous support and company along the way. Books are being signed, rewards are being organised and you should all get your copies very soon.
As you will know from my updates, The Blackden Trust has been a key part of the research, development and indeed inspiration for the book. So I am absolutely delighted to be able to share this special event that we are hosting over the August Bank Holiday weekend. In a wonderful moment of serendipty it is a celebration of both my father Alan Garner's book and my own.
It's rare for my father and myself to have this kind of public crossover of work - however, Lost & Found simply wouldn't exist without both my parents being so supportive of my love of folk tales from a very young age indeed. Just to be clear, my father won't be appearing at the event - but our wonderful interdisciplinary team of artists and archaeologists will be there to give insights into the creative work and the history of Blackden - sharing the many stories of this very special site.
You can book tickets here. The timed slots are to help us manage the flow of people through the exhibition - but don't worry, you won't be kicked out after an hour. Each ticket will include the oportunity to hear the specified talk on each day. Hope to see you there!
