An update from author Daniel Konstanski:

I won’t lie: when I pictured the amount of material that would be generated by interviews for The Secret Life of LEGO® Bricks I wasn’t imagining 600 pages of raw transcripts. Sorting through them, however, has been a blast, if at times a little overwhelming. Having done so many interviews over several months, I sometimes felt in the later ones that I was rediscovering things I’d learned in the initial ones; I had forgotten so many of the great stories from those first 20 or so conversations. To sort through all that material I went through all 600 pages and grouped portions of interviews by topic. If a designer talked about elements from LEGO® City, LEGO® Star Wars™ and LEGO® Pirates, those portions of our conversation got grouped with other excerpts covering those topics. At the end I had around 60 topics, some of which had 20 or more pages all by themselves. It took forever, but was an absolute necessity for building the book, and it worked great. I have now got several chapters complete and into the LEGO Group for review. This book is going to be awesome, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you!
