Hello all,
Firstly an apology for the lack of updates. A combination of my actual job and various health related issues - which are ongoing but being managed - put a spanner in the preverbial works. Thank you all for you patience.
Next up - Did you all watch The Power of the Doctor? What did you think? I mostly loved it. There are a couple of issues and a number of nitpicks but nothing that didn't make me annoyed enough not to enjoy it. I cried a couple of times, which seems to happen more often as I creep into old age.
So, farewell Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gill and Chris Chibnall. Hello (again) to David Tennant for three episodes coming to us in November 2023 for the 60th Anniversary. And hello to Ncuti Gatwa who will take over after that. I look forward to seeing RTD 2.0 explain what we just saw and why it happened. RTD has stated that David Tennant is the 14th Doctor and Ncuti Gatwa will be the 15th but, as we know, RTD lies.
Also announced a little while ago was the Season 2 Blu-Ray Box Set. Season 2 is my favourite William Hartnell season so I'm excited for this one. It sounds like there's the usual fabulous extras, including an interview with William Russell. I was delighted to see him in The Power of the Doctor btw alongside other old companions. A link to that very first episode of Doctor Who nearly 60 years ago.
I'll be making an attempt to re-watch all Doctor Who and spin-off series between tomorrow and November 23rd 2023 and will be posting notes and thoughts on my Twitter feed, which is @Lokster71. I'm probably going to do some other bits and bobs around the re-watch so keep your eyes peeled here.
I will - health depending - be updating this site a little more regularly so I'll speak to you soon.
Be seeing you.
Tony
