Hello Pledgers,

“The only kind of writing is rewriting” said Ernest Hemingway.  Not sure I agree that it’s the only kind there is, but I suppose he was just being emphatic. 

Tomorrow is the day I start the rewrites on Jeremiah Bourne in Time.  Hurrah.  I delivered the manuscript a few weeks ago and was assigned an editor, who’s now finished her notes.  I’m looking forward to getting back to the world of Jeremiah Bourne.  It’s a long old process getting a book out – but hopefully I won’t take as long on the rewrites as Flaubert did – it was twenty-five years between the first and the second draft of Madame Bovary.

Will keep you posted….
