Dear Supporters, 
Just a heads up to say that I’ve decided to use Melanie Leschallas as my pen name, so that's the name that will appear on all updates from now on as well as as on the novel itself.  Leschallas is my grandmother’s maiden name (she was a poet and we were very close) and comes from my Huguenot ancestors who fled from persecution in France and settled in Spitalfields in the 17th century.  As well as honouring this part of my family, using this pen name will mean I can avoid being squeezed in next to my husband amd fellow author, Craig Melvin, on the bookshelf at Waterstones!
