Dear Subscriber,

I am delighted to tell you that the wait is nearly over; your copies of King Arthur's Death will soon be with you. I have been privileged enough to see an early copy and it looks absolutely wonderful; I hope you are as pleased with it as I am - this could not have happened without your help and encouragement. Thank you for all your support along the way.

In the attached video, I offer you my personal thanks plus also give a brief reading from the book and show you some of the pages. I hope you won't tire of me by the end!

More news for literary collectors

As some of you may know, I am now fundraising for the third in this series, the magnificent William and the Werewolf (William of Palerne), an astonishing romance which brings a longer Old French story into Middle English and does so in the alliterative style.

The romance was originally written for literary connoisseur Humphrey de Bohun in the c.1350s and, like all the great romances of the time, tells a story laced with contemporary detail and wonderfully intriguing ambiguities which take you into other worlds.

If you've not yet done so and would like to support this third book, and join me on another adventure into the alliterative revival of the fourteenth century, richly illustrated with linocut prints and with a detailed historical background, please do support the book by clicking here.

Once again, thank you for all your support and encouragement for my work. These books are labours of love and would not have been possible without your help.

With warm wishes for the festive season and a hope for better days to come,

Michael Smith
