Hello there! I'm relieved to be writing to you again after a hard few weeks that forced me to take a break from One In Five. It's fantastic to be back and it's absolutely humbling and inspiring to see I am returning to such an understanding and stable community of backers and publishing heroes. I have been handling a selection of the kinds of personal issues which aren't very sharable. I found myself overwhelmed with competing priorities and very little clear-headedness. Without further ado let me give you the new email address for submissions - louisaoneinfive@gmail.com It makes me cringe to have to tell you this but in a frustrating and unfortunate knock to the progress of the book, access has been lost to the old "oneinfivebook" email. A number of stunningly good submissions were saved prior to this loss of access and so I had planned to give the last word to a particularly special contributor, who I hope to be able to reconnect with soon. There will be as yet unread essays which were submitted during my period of absence which are now lost. I would encourage all contributors to resend or forward anything they aren't sure if we saw to the new "LouisaOneInFive" email above. It will be read and you will receive feedback. Bumps in the road are a fact of life for people experiencing poverty. We simply have fewer resources and options available to manage our lives and that is a challenge reflected time and again in the writing we managed to save. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for keeping the faith. It means the world to the contributors and I. With Love, Louisa.
