I hope this update finds you all well and cosy, especially given the sleety-snowy weather the UK is experiencing at the moment.

To those who've been with us a while, I'm sorry it has been so long between updates. It may come as no surprise to you but Christmas, as much as I love it, is kind of difficult for some autistic people -- routines thrown out the window, socialising dialled up, everywhere is suddenly busier and all the cute lights get a bit sensorially overwhelming. In short, it's a lot. It always takes me a while to get going after all that disruption, and I know most of my autistic friends feel the same way. January is so often a huge hangover of sorts.

Anyway, it’s now late January and I feel back on top of life (somewhat), and most importantly we hit 74%!

At the time of writing, we have been supported by 557 individuals, collectively raising over £13,000 in preorders. Unbound and I are knuckling down together and working on a plan to get the last 26% before Autism Awareness Week, which is the first week of April, and would represent us crowdfunding for a whole year.

We will get back on top of the introducing blogs I have promised you, so you can get to know all our authors and artists.

In the meantime, can I suggest you take a look at another autistic Unbound project, In Other Words. They are a book of eight short stories by autistic people that were written during a course and are 31% of the way there. They even have a low earner pledge, like us. They’ve got 104 backers at the time of writing, and I think so many of you would also be into their book, so go check them out.

Anyway, I’m sorry this is brief again. I hope to have some more substantial updates other than me just yelling OH MY GOD WE GOT MORE PREORDERS soon for you, but to be honest I’m mostly just overwhelmed by how far we’ve gotten and how many nice things about the book I get tweeted every day.
