Dear Subscriber,
As I write, William and the Werewolf has reached 91% funding! - we're nearly there and it would not have been possible without your help.
By my calculation, I estimate that a further 40 or so supporters will be enough to help see the book over the line and ready to go into the next stage - preparing the text and linocut illustrations for manuscript submission.
If you know of anyone with an interest in mediaeval Middle English romances who might like to support the book, please can you ask them to do so, if it is of interest to them?
To help them, Unbound has created a special "almost there" offer for patrons - and, as with your own pledge, they'll also be recognised in the final book by having their name published in the back as a supporter. By using the code ALMOSTTHERE15 at the check out, any patron can save 15% on pledge options up to £100.
If you have already pledged but want to help the book reach its target by upgrading your own pledge (e.g. from hard back to signed hardback) I believe you can also use the code on the upgrade - every little helps to enable William and the Werewolf to become reality.
This edition will, I believe, be the only translation into modern English of this wonderful mediaeval romance (some of the orginal manuscript shown above). My work has only been possible with your help, support and encouragement along the way - thank you so much.
Kind regards
Michael Smith
