This Week's Tune (11/27)

Hello, everyone!

Tonight, I have a song from my Classical Mix playlist: the Finale to Beethoven's Fantasia in C Minor, Op. 80, better known as his Choral Fantasy, from his 8th Symphony. This song originally came from a 25 Beethoven Favorites CD (Usual copyrights apply; I own nothing!) that I picked up at a much younger age, and has stayed with me; when I got my first IPod, this was one of the first songs I added. I recently had the pleasure of hearing the full 8th Symphony at a choir performance at UWM, and was blown away by the power and majesty of the work. Nothing beats live music...and I will be part of the same UWM choir starting next year! The rousing choral and orchestral blend never fails to perk me up when the writing sessions stretch far into the night, and the CD as a whole is both soothing and stirring whenever I need either sound.

In other news, I am pleased to announce that the first agent pitch for Discarded has gone out, and more will be sent in the coming week; not expecting a reply on any of them for a while, but at least I'm no longer sitting in front of the laptop, waiting for agents to telepathically learn the draft's done, and line up outside my door :). I've also found my designer choice for the cover of my What-If novel Red Delta, after a laborious search; current plan is to have the final design ready by mid-December, and the book out on digital and print shelves by Christmas.

Finally, my What-If ebook Obsidian & Steel will be available for FREE for a short while on Kindle later this week; watch my Twitter and FB feeds for the exact start date. If you're looking for an early Xmas present, check it out--along with a pledge to Discarded, if you're so inclined. Otherwise, just keep sharing and reviewing!
