'The Shining Pyramid'

Hello again!

23 lino prints completed! Here’s my final lino print for Damnable Tales. It’s for Arthur Machen’s ‘The Shining Pyramid’, first published in the May & June editions of The Unknown World magazine, 1895. When Mr. Vaughan discovers strange symbols on the grounds of his country dwelling, he drags his friend Mr. Dyson away from bustling London to help him solve the mystery, which may be connected to the case of a missing local girl…

So that closes the lino cutting side of my work for the anthology. Next weekend I’ll be printing one ‘final’ version of each design onto white paper, then scanning them all in, tweaking any bits I’m not happy with, before handing it all over to the good folks at Unbound. Then they can finally crack on with putting the book together. Then all I need to do is work out the final design for the book cover, and help sort out all of the pledge level rewards! I’d forgotten that involves designing and making the exclusive hand-bound chapbook for Robert Murray Gilchrist’s 1893 tale 'Witch In-Grain'. I’ll probably also come up with a new design for the poster pledge level. Oh, and I might also do another bookplate design, and ask you to vote on a favourite…

I’ll be back with more updates when I have something to share. Have a good week!
