Sushi with Kristin

Last week Kristin played a gig in Dublin and then spent a few days in London before jetting back to the US. I managed to grab a bit of time with her over lunch while she was in town.

We went for sushi. This is what she ordered.

When it comes to sushi, she can really pack it away.

I was able to show Kristin five possible covers for Nerve Endings and we chatted about the pros and cons of each. At the moment our plan for the subscribers' edition is to have the artwork printed or debossed directly onto the boards of the hardback, rather than having a paper cover. It remains to be seen if the chosen design can work that way, but we hope so.

First, of course, we have to choose the design and Kristin is pondering that as I write. I may give her a nudge if she hasn't made a decision by the end of the week.

We also discussed the rest of the production process, all the signing she'd have to do when the books are ready and the private gig for subscribers. The plan as it stands is that as soon as my colleagues in the Unbound production department are able to give us a rough date that the book will go to print then Kristin will try to sort out a visit to the UK for around that time and we will get all the books signed, lyrics written by hand and and the gig set up for then. More news on all of this as I have it. We want to give everyone as much notice as possible.

That's about it for now, apart from to say that Kristin asked me to thank you all for your support and for your patience while we get this book made. And I can confirm that she finished all of her sushi.
