Some notes - 07/12/18

Wotcha !

Busy days - first off - Thank you for your patience - Field Notes is getting there ( nice and steady ) - I reckon at current pace and perhaps with some unexpected flurries, it'll be funded sometime in the late spring.

Meanwhile,

I've been busy. Life/work action. Since May I've been working nights - in charge of 5 gentlemen with complicated learning and sensory difficulties, navigating them through the often hectic night. It's an entirely different geography and that's all I'll say on the matter. Mind you, some nights allow for plotting and stranger thoughts - I've written three different versions of the text for Field Notes across those quieter shifts. Each one radically different to the last. There'll probably be a dozen more versions then I'll burn them all and write the final draft. Seems like a very T.E. Lawrence way to go about it.

As you can imagine, working nights can scupper daylight activities, but the train keeps a rolling. Walks happen, though with less frequency than I'd like. Drawings get made, paintings get painted. It's tricky to grab the energy sometimes but it's a daily practice.

Right - I've got to sharpen myself for another shift. Don't forget to tell yer pals all about Field Notes and why they should divert their Christmas spends in this general direction.

I'll be in touch soon - keep yer eyes on the eastern horizon

Warmest regards + a handshake

M
