Should I stop pedalling and let my coasting crowdfunding bicycle sweep me over the finish line?

Heck No. In fact, I'm beginning to panic...... I'm due to retire (from 32 years of public housing work) this Friday, and I set 13th March as the deadline to achieve 100% of the funding for Dolly Considine's Hotel. With the help of my 161 fabulous backers, I've managed to raise 93%. Which is unbelievably wonderful but the last 7% is proving difficult.

What can you do to help? You can certainly share this message with friends, asking for their help. Or if you've already pledged, and have a friend who'd be interested in reading a contemporary Dublin novel, you could pledge on their behalf. And because re-pledgers are already registered on the supporters' page, you can nominate your friend as the name to be listed this time. A digital version will cost you a tenner, a paperback £15, a ten book bundle would allow up to ten names to be included. In return for your generosity, you get a great book to enjoy, my eternal gratitude, and your friend will be included in the supporters' page, I'll even recycle the net receipt onwards to your favourite charity (you keep the book) from any royalties I receive, once Dolly Considine's Hotel is in the shops. Who can say fairer than that? Eamon
