Since Unbound is where it all began, I am DELIGHTED to say it here first. My second Scots novel, The Tongue She Speaks, is going to be published by Luath Press sometime in 2023!!!
I am over the moon that I managed to do it again, even more so with another Scots novel!
A huge thanks goes out to Scottish comedian and Luath author Janey Godley. She's more well-known than I will likely ever be, and without her giving Luath Press a wee nudge in my direction, I doubt they'd have ever found the book.
The Tongue She Speaks is a coming-of-age story about music, emo culture, and finding the courage to be yourself in the face of a world that's telling you to be something else.
It's about a wee lassie called Cathy, a poet, a punk band called Spindleshanks, and an underage rock club that anyone in Glasgow over the age of 25 is likely to have frequented!
The Glaswegian Almost Famous.
I know not everyone here uses Twitter where I post most of my updates, so I will give further details in due course. But once again, thank you so much for supporting Be Guid tae Yer Mammy.
All of my novels have a thread of truth through them, and I'd like to think they all say something worthwhile. I can't wait to share this one with the world (and have a proper book launch this time)!
