Firstly, I want to quickly acknowledge my most recent patrons, I will thank you personally elsewhere, but none of this happens without you all so a huge collective thanks, on behalf of myself (and independent publishing) for your support.
I think most of us will be feeling post-election dwoners. I discovered this film today and it felt like an uplifting vitamin B shot in the arm, so I thought I'd share it with you. I am not quite sure how these will find you, so if it arrived on it's own, I hope it wasn't confusing...
I am trying to find ways to reach people outside of my contaacts and am arranging to do some readings. If anyone has any knowledge of events near them that might be interested in an Unbound author reading or talking, please do let me know. It is more mind-consuming than I had expected, and has turned me with frightening ease into a social media zombie. This is, it turns out, incompatible with writing my new book, which continues to beguile my interest and elude my focus.
But it reminds me a little of when I was doing my Fine Art MA as a single parent with small children to look after. Without meaning to, I devised strategies for making art that were composite, built in sections so that small spaces and short times could be combined to make larger works. I love the work I produced then, so I hope that my kaleidoscope fragments of writing with join up to make something beautiful in the end.
Greetings for the start of a new week,
Lulu x
