It's Movember!

As it is the month when all chaps are encouraged to grow a moustache for Prostate Cancer UK, here's a particular favourite Forgotten Hero of mine. Mario Fabrizi, pictured here with his equally tasche-tastic son, Anthony, was one of the best-loved and busiest of comedy character actors of the 1950s and early 1960s. He was a frequent stooge for such top comics as Tony Hancock, Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan and Eric Sykes, as well as a star of the hit ITV situation comedy 'The Army Game'. Appearances in an early Carry On and the first Pink Panther would have undoubtedly lengthened his career but an early death at 38 robbed us of a very funny fellow indeed. He's one of the greatest 'I know the face but not the name' actors, so grow a Mario in his honour this month!
