I've got merch! And a plan...

Welcome to my new supporters who reported to the Regimental HQ this weekend! September has kicked into life with some new opportunities to get the word out. I spent a very pleasant afternoon at The Treehouse Bookshop in Kenilworth, with my merch (yes, I know the lingo now) set up (pictures below) and an even more pleasant time having a long chat with a couple of ladies, one of whom pledged for the book then and there.

So we're now exactly a third of the way there, having built an audience and, thankfully, some expectation. I have a new target of November as a milestone. It would be great if we can build some momentum. So, I am using an idea I've just shamefully stolen from fellow Unbound author Stevyn Colgan. And it's this...

As you know, amazing graphic designer and artist James Gray (also known as quigonjim on social media - check out his work at www.quigonjim.co.uk - he's available for commissions) put together the cover that I've been using to promote the book. I'm thinking of getting some good prints done of the original artwork that I can offer supporters as a bribe - I mean, as an extra reward - in a pyramid scheme - er, I mean a referral! ;-)

If you can encourage 3 other people to pledge, then I'll post you a signed print! Simple as that! If each one of them can do the same, that's 3 more prints I'll send out... You work out the maths. Given the feedback I've had recently, the novel isn't only appealling to WW1 enthusiasts but a whole range of people. Buy one for a friend, or your Dad, or Grandad, or Mum, or the people in your book group - all possibilities.

I'm looking to make a big push as we move towards Remembrance Day, so there's a couple of possibilities coming up, fingers crossed!
