Forging ahead, that's what. I got Bera back from the Copy Editor on 5th May and I can tell you, reading her report was like opening exam results again. Readers, I passed. There were so few things to correct that I got it back to Unbound on the 9th ... but best of all, she enjoyed reading it and "can't wait to find out what happens in the next book." It isn't part of the job description to like it - so Result! Plus, it's the spur I need to get back to work on the sequel.
Now, on to typesetting and cover. This is where it gets truly exciting because it's all fun and not my pressure. This post is for supporters only, so I'll share my current favourite. Unbound books have paper 10 grams heavier than 'trade' hardbacks and no 'house' dictats on style. Let me know what you think:
