Thought I'd send a quick update to let you all know that I submitted my application to the Arts Council England (ACE) for a National Lottery Grant on Friday 5th July. The standard turnaround time for a decision is about six weeks, so I'm hoping for an outcome by mid-August. I will let you know just as soon as I have that decision, but let's all hope I'm successful. If I am awarded the grant, then some of it will be used to take Rory Hobble and the Voyage to Haligogen up to being about 90% funded, so it would absolutely be a game changer.
Putting the application together took me 2.5 months (yes, it's pretty rigorous) and I am indebted to several people for their support during this process (including members of OCD Action and ACE itself) - but most notably Lucy Sullivan whose own project, Barking, was awarded ACE funding earlier in the year. Check out her work here - I've supported it because it looks fantastic and I think you all may be interested in it too.
Speak soon - and hopefully with some good news! I've never won the lottery before, but there's a first time for everything...
