Hey folks, it's time for one final writing progress report:

I'm not quite done yet, but I'm inside the final 10,000 words now — most chapters are 90-95% done, with only a few still well short of completion — and I expect there'll be a finished draft in about a week's time (~5-8 days, based on the trends of the past month). It'll then take another week or two after that to revise and polish the manuscript before I submit to Unbound in late March.

(And in the weird way that writing sometimes works, I just wrote the ending last night after a sudden realisation as to how I could round it all out.)

I'd like to thank you for your patience so far. It's taken a lot longer than I'd hoped, but I'm pleased with how the story has come together — and with the balance I've found between the big names and all the little forgotten one-person indies of the era — and I can't wait to share it with you all.

I'll post another update after I've submitted the manuscript, with some more info about the contents and a rough breakdown of the process ahead (to take it from manuscript to printed, published book).
