The Truthful Phone

Hello Terry Jones' Evil Machines Supporters!

NEWS!   The first story in Evil Machines, The Truthful Phone is being adapted into a film!

Taking inspiration from both the Evil Machines story and Terry’s screenplay for Labyrinth, the adaptation is a rollicking comedy with Mae Morris at the core of this tale of mischief and mayhem as the phone not only tells versions of the truth - but becomes a gateway for other worldly creatures to enter this hidden welsh village nestled in the foothills of the Black Mountains.

Having developed the script for his short film The Truthful Phone over the last three years, BAFTA nominated director Carl Rock has assembled Star Wars puppeteers and the best comedic talent Britain has to offer in a recently launched Kickstarter project that blends big laughs with dark magic.

Terry said on the launch of the Kickstarter campaign: “I’m delighted that The Truthful Phone is being given the opportunity to be made into a film short, particularly as director Carl Rock, comes from the same part of Wales as I do. The Welsh landscape is a perfect setting for this tale, and I hope the Kickstarter campaign reaches its target so that a wider audience can enjoy this dark comedy”.

It's been featured on Creative Bloq and Michael Sheen has just come on board as of last week.

Please take a look and share.
