Richard Cupidi

Besides chaperoning Public House Bookshop, Richard Cupidi has worked as a professional storyteller for many years; he founded the Native American Educational Trust and edited its journal Talking Stick. He also edited the book series Native American Visions and curated exhibitions on Shaker Art and Native American Women’s Art, and was Senior Researcher in Community Informatics @ Brighton University. He teaches film studies, American history and literature; lectures on American, Native American and early Renaissance art; and runs a clinical hypnotherapy practice at Dolphin House (children’s charity providing complementary healthcare regardless of income). He is an American who fell in love with Brighton one weekend and has lived here ever since.
