Ian Plenderleith

Ian Plenderleith is a European Union-based writer and journalist. His books include a collection of football-based short fiction, For Whom the Ball Rolls, and Rock n Roll Soccer, an analytical history of the wild but innovative North American Soccer League of the 1970s. On evenings and weekends he coaches youth teams, and referees the borderline insane adult amateur leagues of Frankfurt am Main. His memoir, The Quiet Fan, is published by Unbound.
