Backlisted gives ‘new life to old books’. It was launched in November 2015 and is co-hosted by John Mitchinson and Andy Miller, and produced by Matt Hall. Each week a classic or unduly neglected book is selected by a guest for discussion. Past episodes have included Sarah Perry on Father and Son by Edmund Gosse, Linda Grant on Jean Rhys’s Good Morning, Midnight, Jonathan Coe on David Nobbs’s It Had To Be You, John Niven on Martin Amis’s The Information, Kit de Waal on William Maxwell’s So Long, See You Tomorrow and Niven Govinden on James Baldwin’s Tell Me How Long the Train’s Been Gone.
