Cover Designed, Edits In
Thank you to all of you for your continued support and patience! We are all still very busy behind the scenes developing "You Are What You Read" from a computer Word document to a beautiful book. The last couple of weeks have been exciting and I am happy to be able to share with you the latest front cover design created by the brilliant creative team at Unbound!
I was amazed at the editorial support I received and my assigned editor helped me iron out any structural creases in the book. I have been steadily working through my manuscript and am delighted (and relieved) to say that my final edit has been completed and will be sent back to Unbound today!
Since the last update, I have spoken on a Constructive Journalism panel at News ReWired, with some inspiring pioneers within the industry who practice this kind journalism.
So what happens next?
The next step for the book will be for it to be proofread and typeset. Typically, once the book is completed, the sales team will need six months to sell the book into stores. This means that my provisional launch date for "You Are What You Read" is May 2019. I will be planning a launch event nearer the time so will keep you all informed of the what, where and when in the hope to see some of you there to celebrate the launch of our book together.
Pre-order Stays Open
The most important message to keep spreading is that this book is now available for pre-order. And those that pledge at this stage, will still be listed in the supporters section of the book! This is not about turning a profit for me as this project is, and has always been, a labour of love. But if we want to see change take place, we need to get this into the hands as many people as possible and get as many supporters on board at this stage to become a part of this book and its message too.
If you have anyone that you know of that may wish to join our movement for a more constructive media, please share this with them!
Thank you for your continued support and stay tuned!
