What If The Queen Should Die?

By John-Paul Flintoff

A literary-historical adventure, based on the true story of Britain's most tragic queen

YOU ARE INVITED...

... at long last, to my book launch.

But it's not like any I've been to before. I’m planning to make it interactive, entertaining and informative, and it will be open to people far away from London.

It's taking place on 28th April, with live, online conversations throughout the day, about things like:

  1. why it's important to celebrate our achievements, big and small
  2. how writers can collaborate with each other, with performers, and with readers
  3. the secrets of crowd-funding
  4. Queen Anne herself, and the boom in historical fiction
  5. er, some other things.

I'm asking very brilliant and lovely people to join me, using sophisticated online conferencing video/audio - and I hope you will be one of them. (You can join openly and noisily, with video, or lurk in the background and send through questions - or not even that - it's up to you.)

More details soon. In the meantime, you might like to watch this short YouTube video (above) in which I test the idea of a virtual book-launch party on my charmingly enthusiastic friend Yvonne.

The online session sounds wonderfully inclusive - and where will the party in London be held - and will those at the party in London see those celebrating online and vice versa?

It does sound great and I love your friend Yvonne. Although am sad about lack of communal alcohol which is a fixture of a book launch. Will happily have my BYO.

How perfect! I shall be in New York and would have had extreme FOMO had you not made this a virtual event. Love to Yvonne
