Virtual Cities is now a published book!
Good news everyone!
The Virtual Cities atlas has finally been published, and I am incredibly happy to see the great, kind feedback people have been sharing. What's more, I want to, once again, thank you all for your incredible support and patience without which this atlas simply couldn't have happened. Seriously, thank you!
As for the Virtual Cities book itself, it should be available in bookshops, but also on a variety of major online outlets including the following:
Really hope you all love the book, and would deeply appreciate any reviews / feedback you might care to share.
Best,
Konstantinos

Has anyone gotten their physical copy yet?

Yes, I got mine a couple of weeks ago. I have seen other people post pictures with their physical copy on social media.

Yeah, a few weeks back... but I thought that due to reaching one of the stretch goals, a slipcase should be included as well (and it was not). Don't know whether this should be sent separately or just to some special backers, I do not care that much, the book is lovely, just a bit confused about this...

@John: Hello John, your copy should probably have arrived, so please do drop Unbound a line [https://www.unbound.org/TopMenu/ContactUs]
@Concha: Glad your copy has come safely to you dear Concha! Really (REALLY) looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it.
@Ludos: Great the book reached you! And extremely happy you find the book lovely too. As for the slipcase, I am very sorry for the confusion, but what the publisher meant with the stretch goal is that a slipcase would be made available to purchase as a (rather expensive) reward. I believe we should have been clearer on this though.

@ Konstantinos: Ok, no problem, thanks for clarifying. Not much of a reward if you have to buy it, but it really is not that important :) The book is really a pleasure to read and to look at, at first I was kind of non-plussed that there are no "actual" screenshots, but then again these you can find anywhere and the unified look and style of the illustration works great, the text really paints a picture of a place rather than of a game... which I guess was the goal :)

@ Ludos: Can't disagree with you there :) Also, extremely glad you got what the atlas is about, and are actually enjoying it! Thank you!

@Konstantinos: the link [https://www.unbound.org/TopMenu/ContactUs] that you've posted leads to a website of a different company. The unbound.org is a charity organization and, sadly, they couldn't help me with my parcel, that seemingly was damaged during the delivery and was sent back to the Unbound facility =\
The correct Unbound support email address I was looking for is [support@unbound.com]

I am so sorry Alexey! Sadly these past few days have been inredobly frantic and it's become too easy for me to make stupid mistakes. Sorry again!

Very pleased with the book! I can’t wait to make time to read it… So far I’ve only skimmed it, ahh! My free day can’t come soon enough. Any word on when the collection of game articles will be ready? Or have I missed an email about that?

@Giovanni: Very happy to hear you are pleased! I am waiting for news on the articles book myself -- it's been finished for quite some time now, and I believe it's getting the design / editing treatment. As soon as I have news I will update you (and, of course, everyone else too).

Is there any update on the collection of game articles ebook? It's been over 4 months since the last update.

Hello Thomas, I was under the impression that it had already been sent out to backers who backed at the appropriate levels. Isn't that true in your case?
posted 8th April 2021
Nope. I've searched my e-mails, and I can't find anything delivering the collection of game articles. I backed at the "Collection of Game Articles" level. I received the ebook of the main book, the ebook of the early sketches and ideas booklet, and the hardcopy book.

Thank you for letting me know; I will get to it asap!

Hi Konstantinos,
I think I had totally forgotten this at all, and never confirmed my address. Would you be able to confirm if it still can be shipped and can I update the address?
