Crowdfunding Cock-Ups And Candies

I have to say, I'm looking forward to a confessional evening on 16th October. Chaired by the fun and feisty Julia Groves of the UK Crowdfunding Association (UKCFA), there'll be a few of us getting up to talk briefly about the terrible errors they've made in the world of crowdfunding.

“We are a young industry, but fast moving, and with more than 9 million members across all the different crowdfunding platforms in the UK, and more than 600,000 projects and businesses already successfully funded, between us we have already learnt a lot about what works and what doesn’t work so well in the world of crowdfunding," says Julia on the UKCFA's website.

Fortunately, she doesn't do corporate-speak in real life - so for "what doesn't work so well", read "total cock-up". And there've been plenty of those during my experiences with Unbound. My short 17 pence-worth will feature - former Manchester United foootball manager David Moyes, the good people who publish British Airways' Business Life, and a giant bag of peppermint bon-bons.

Actually, I was only kidding about the sweets - a case of bah, humbug...

If you want to come along, just click on this link. It might even be fun.
