#VersaillesRoom

So you might have gathered that Unbound are currently running a competition where current and future pledgers are entered into a prize draw. The winner gets to work with me in creating a bonus room in Versailles itself, the 100-room mega-mansion at the heart of the novel. I for one can’t wait to revisit the world of the novel one last time.

The rooms making up Versailles are like test-chambers for billionaire-nutjob-internet-entrepreneur Casey Baer's investigation into the human experience, whether it's actors recreating a realistic plane crash or a cache of guns and drugs with a street value of hundreds of millions. Think of these rooms as thought experiments, conceptual installations with no expense spared.

What would be really great is if in the next few days (draw ends on the 31st!) those of you who use Twitter could help promote this prize draw by tweeting your own ideas for rooms using the hashtag #versaillesroom. Here’s a template link to get you started: https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=I%27d+have+a+room+of+...+@unbounders+@yannickfhill&hashtags=VersaillesRoom

As always thank you so much for all your help so far. According to my funding page I need 39 more pledgers (for the hardback) and it’s all over, or rather that’s when it all begins, so anyone you think might be interested in supporting a book about the way we live in the world right now (or some of us, anyway!), let them know (http://unbound.co.uk/books/versailles). All love, Yannick x
