Stretch goals! (Or why you really want to pre-order Underdogs 3 if you haven’t already.)
So Underdogs: Acceleration is moving ahead, and details are due to arrive about the timetable for the publication process. The most relevant point for all of you being this:
Those who pre-order the book will receive it about six months before the rest of the world.
Keeping it to a two-sentence explanation: basically the book will be ready for autumn, but releasing it just before Christmas is a death sentence for sales (because regular novels get shoved aside by the celebrity big-sellers). So it’ll be released to the public in February 2022, but pre-orderers will just get it once it’s ready in the autumn.
Anyway, I mentioned stretch goals. Well, in an effort to get as many people reading it in the autumn as possible, Unbound have come up with these lovely ideas:
Yep, we’re only 8% away (at time of writing) from me writing you another short story. We’ve done...
- Ewan West Goes to Oakenfold
- Jack Hopper Talks to Dad
- Joseph McCormick Fights Alone
- Oliver Roth Comes to Power
- And even Christmas Day at Spitfire's Rise
...and another one will be waiting once Underdogs: Acceleration hits 115%. (There’ll also be a vote on Underdogs’ Facebook page about who stars in it… Kate? Simon? Even Charlie?)
The other goals are a while away but pretty self-explanatory. There’s stuff, and it’ll be good. And it’ll be exclusive too.
Huge thanks to everyone who’s brought the Underdogs series to where it is so far, and I look forward to bringing you further news! In the meantime, here's the link to Underdogs: Acceleration once more.
United by our differences,
