The Final Update for Under The Knife

Hi

I've got some news that I wanted to share with you all.

You may have seen this already on my social media feeds, but my breast cancer has come back

It's my second local recurrence. It hasn't spread anywhere else and I start treatment next week

It means I'll be taking my foot off the gas for a while when it comes to the hustle of promoting the book

I wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you who have left a review on Amazon (link here https://amzn.to/3pvb7a9)

I said I'd donate £10 for every review to Mum's osteosarcoma legacy fund with Bone Cancer Research Trust and at the moment, there are 113 reviews so thats £1130 going to help fund new treatments for this rare cancer

It's also got me thinking about writing about mum and me in my next memoir, once I see how this round of treament pans out.

For those of you who pledged for sourdough - it's being posted tomorrow. I've nearly finished captioning the videos and I'll email them to you with instructions in the next day or two

For the lovely lady who pledged to have tea and cake with me - I did send you an e-mail but haven't heard back so I'll give you another nudge so we can set this up

And for those of you awaiting dresses - I promise I haven't forgotten you. The material is washed and ironed and ready to cut and sew

Love Liz x

Dear Liz,
My heart goes out to you, this is so cruel and unfair. Wishing you all the luck in the world for what lies ahead of you. I read your book in a single day, I couldn’t stop turning the pages. Such a gripping and eloquent description of the life of a hospital doctor and your courage and tenacity in dealing with cancer and mental health. People like you are few and far between, you add so much to the world.
