Good business must challenge bad politics
Trust Me, PR is Dead includes a section on the ugliness of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and how this has been hijacked in recent years by a measurement- and compliance-obsessed business culture. For me, social responsibility in good businesses demands vision, leadership, compassion as well as a willingness to stand up to bad politics. Nowhere is this as important right now than on the challenging issue of immigration.
Here is an article I wrote yesterday for the Guardian.

I find much of the language used by politicians and the media around immigration quite offensive. I have written more on this, which I will share in due course.

I must say that everyone has his own thoughts about business, but it's well-known that you need to work hard to succeed.
