And I thought battling the MOD took time...
Just wanted to let you know that I popped into the Unbound office yesterday, as part of a flying visit up to my ole home town, lovely London - I brought a few old photos to be scanned in case we can include a few in the book. Good for a laugh if nowt else - I'd love to be that slim and fresh-faced again! Great to properly meet Xander and catch up with Georgia and Mathew too - talked a bit about where we're at and what's coming up next. The editor assigned to TQA, Lindsay, is pleased with the changes I made in response to her initial review, so that's great - the legal bit is next, then we'll crack on with designing the cover in tandem with the spelling, grammar, punctuation proofreading. I'm hoping having worked on it recently we'll not have left too much work for them!
I managed to plug the book on Radio DIVA's weekly programme and met such lovely, inspirational women - I would have loved to have stayed in town a wee bit longer, but I think it was wise to get back before the beast from the East wreaks its havoc..
Once again, a mahoosive heap of gratitude comes to you from me - your support and patience is appreciated so much more than you could even begin to imagine - I'm now reaching that rather nervy/exciting point of praying that you'll think it was worth the wait! I suppose, having waited so long to write it, it's good to be taking the time to try to tweak it to the best it can be...gulp!
Stay warm and safe, I'll update again once we're through the next stage...
