Stop me and buy one
Hello The Wrong Story supporters. As I write this we've hit the fifty percent mark. As a statistic that's fantastic but more than being a number, I'm so happy that each of you want to support the book. So THANKS!
As previously mentioned, I'm on final edits now and I'm combing through every page to make sure it's as polished as possible. My target is around £3500 and the budget is designed to allow for a full structural/developmental edit period, then a copy edit and then a proofing stage before going to press along with the artwork. Knowing that Unbound is bringing this level of publishing expertise and support is hugely comforting.
The Wrong Story is quite an idiosyncratic novel, with its own style and narrative voices, but if you're interested in seeing some more of my writing, you can read The Fire Diver's Assistant by following this link, http://www.londonjournaloffiction.com and The Therapist by following this link, http://wp.me/pkvXl-CF.
Over the next few weeks I will be seeking the remaining pledges. I'm hoping to be able to read some extracts of the novel at book groups and also talk about Unbound and the crowdfunding publishing model. I have approached various institutions, book shops and creative writing courses, contacted the local newspaper, and I am now planning to print out leaflets and stand in Bath town centre handing them out! So stop me and buy one, as they used to say!
In the meantime it's on with the edits. Thanks again for all your support.
