Some Service to the State
Well, since the publication of The Undiscovered Country, a lot of you have been asking about follow ups, and what happens to the characters next.
So, over the last year or so I have been writing a sequel entitled, "Some Service to the State." It's about the repercussions arising from the search for a missing girl in the border country of a newly partitioned Ireland in 1925. I finished my first draft towards the end of June, and have been working on edits since.
Unfortunately Unbound has just informed me this morning that it's not something that they are interested in proceeding with. So it looks like this is the end of the road with the Unbound journey.
Obviously, I'll have a search for other publishers. But in the meantime I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who has supported the publication of The Undiscovered Country, and everyone who has read and enjoyed (or even not enjoyed) it. Your encouragement and friendship has been a balm through the difficult days and I hope our paths will cross again in the not too distant future.
Keep safe all.
Really sorry to read this, Aidan. Is there any way we can keep in touch with your search for another publisher?

Really disappointed to hear that Unbound will not be supporting the sequel. Was so looking forward to reading it. Please let us know when you find another publisher. Geraldine D

Oh no! Have been looking forward to the sequel for a long time. Hope maybe these comments will help change Unbound's mind and if not, let us know how the search for another home goes. Good luck!
