Nominations, and prizes!
Hope you and your families are keeping well. We’re living in strange times.
Lockdown scuppered my book tour which has been frustrating, but a lot of people of course have had far worse to deal with.
However, this week has brought better news: The Trail has been nominated and longlisted for two awards.
First, Not The Booker run by The Guardian. See https://www.theguardian.com/books/booksblog/2020/aug/03/not-the-booker-prize-longlist-vote-now-to-decide-the-2020-shortlist
The shortlist is part determined by votes from the public – from you! So, if you have five minutes, then perhaps you could vote! The deadline is midnight on 16 August. Follow the instructions on The Guardian link – to vote you simply add your comments at the bottom of the page.
Thank you!
Second, and I can still hardly believe it, the Boardman-Tasker prize for mountain literature. See http://www.boardmantasker.com/news/2020/7/22/2020-submissions-now-closed
The shortlist for this one is determined by a panel of judges so no voting required.
Hope the weather improves and you manage some sort of holiday!
Kind Regards
James X
