It’s going to happen!
Yes, we’ve done it! Hit 100% funding so it’s really going to happen.
THANK YOU for all your fantastic pledges.
The supporters list reads like a Who’s Who in my life, starting from Rob and Andy in nursery school, numerous schoolfriends and teachers at Whitgift, friends from Cambridge, police officers (from Hendon, and people I’ve worked with in the Met and in GMP), mountaineers from our expedition to Bolivia in 2001, climbing partners from trips to Ben Nevis and the Alps and Nepal, writers from an Arvon retreat in 2016, my tutor and friends from my Creative Writing MA at Manchester Metropolitan, friends from The Northern Fruit Group, friends and businesses from our village of Hayfield, and of course, family, and friends of family.
Fantastically, it includes our electrician, our postman, our builder, my nextdoor neighbour when I was 10, my Whitgift tutor, deputy head and headmaster, the teacher who taught me English, and many people I don’t know. Strangers, including published writers!
It really is a wonderful list. Thank you.
What happens now?
The publishing process starts; this includes a development-edit, a copy-edit, then typesetting, proofreading, cover design, and finally production. This will take 6-8 months.
Pledges to the book can still be made as before, and now have the alternative and exciting title of preorders.
Please keep sharing the link to The Trail with anyone you think might be interested.
