The Pagoda Tree is now in pre-production

Hello lovely Unbounders! Exciting news. The Pagoda Tree is now in pre-production. This means the team is working on new artwork for the novel and I’m currently re-reading it. Normally I never re-read the books I write. I know some authors do. The travel writer Walter Mason (Destination Saigon) told me he likes re-reading his books and still laughs at his own jokes! David Malouf on the other hand says he never re-reads his work.

As I have a chance to make some small changes I am currently curling up on my favourite armchair and reading it slowly… as if for the first time. Now I’m no longer so close to the story, I can see it objectively. In fact, I admitted to my husband that (even though I say it myself... I'm really enjoying it :) I’m seeing connections I didn’t even know were there. I can’t wait for you all to tell me what you think. As soon as I know more details and when you can expect your special supporter hardback copies, I will be in touch.

In the meantime I will fill you in on my other creative endeavours and I promise there won’t be such a long silence between updates…

Here's how I feel right now sending you the news. As happy as I am zooming round Jaipur in a tuk-tuk!

Don't suppose there's any chance of it being delivered for Christmas? Thought not. Just one of the people I'm going to give it to is going through a hard time at the moment, it would be an enormous cheer up for her (it's a surprise, so NBD)
