Hello book friends!
Amazing to think it's already been nearly 2 weeks since The Moor came out. By now you should hopefully all have received your copies, but if you haven't please do drop me a line on Facebook or Twitter and I'll look into it for you right away.
Anyway, so far things are looking good. We've had a bunch of lovely feedback from bloggers both in the UK and the US -- here's a link to one of the most recent reviews, which definitely made me glow with happiness -- and there's a bunch more coverage in the pipeline. I'll keep you all upated with things as they develop.
Now I've heard some conflicting reports on this, but the consensus seems to be that when a book hits somewhere in the region of 30-50 reviews, Amazon will start promoting it in other places on their site. It'll start getting recommended as something you may like, or appearing in the "customers also bought" sections, for instance. It's all a bit mysterious and nobody seems to know the exact number for sure, but the bottom line is the more reviews we get, the more people are going to see (and hopefully buy!) the book. The sooner we can get to 50, the better.
With that in mind, I'd be so grateful if you wouldn't mind taking a couple of minutes to write a quick review. The links to The Moor's Amazon UK and Amazon US pages are above. Your review doesn't need to be too long, either -- even a couple of sentences will make all the difference.
Thanks so much in advance, you're all absolute superstars.
I'll be in touch again in the coming weeks to let you know how everything's going. In the meantime, have a lovely day!
