Hello, Everyone, and Happy New Year 2016!

PLEASE TELL A FRIEND ABOUT THE HOUSE OF FICTION

It's time to say that THE HOUSE OF FICTION has now reached 71 per cent of its funding (HOORAY!), so thanks again to all of you brilliant subscribers. We're almost there and with the new year, I'm making a renewed drive for more subscribers. Please all of you who have been kind enough to support the book, pass on the link to one or two (or more!) friends who might be interested to know more about the house that inspired the first Gothic novel, the places Jane Austen danced (and drank!) and John Galsworthy's original designs for his great modern house at Robin Hill. I've been writing about and touring some exceptional houses and am eager to share their stories with you all.

NEW SERIALIZED BOOK BY JULIAN FELLOWES SET IN BELGRAVIA

This is a slightly different kind of post, since I'm telling you about another author's work, but I just thought I would share the news that Julian Fellowes (creator of two wonderful houses of fiction--Gosford Park and Downton Abbey) is launching a new novel in serial/digital form, which you can subscribe to in individual instalments or in its entireity. The link is here . It launches in April 2016.
