Noble in Defeat
Ah well, A Murder To Die For didn't win at the Dead Good Readers Awards in Harrogate this year. But it was shortlisted and was a runner-up. And I'm happy to take that. It was pretty humbling to have been nominated in the first place for a first novel. And, to be honest, it would have been a minor miracle if I had won, considering the well-publicised and bestselling contenders that I was up against. Worthy winners all. I'm proud to have been considered alongside them.
But now it's back to reality and the push to get the sequel The Diabolical Club funded. We're over the halfway mark so we're on the downward slope. Trying to pull in the pledgers during the Summer is always tricky as there are so many other things going on - Summer holidays and a house full of kids chief among them - but I'll keep the pressure on :)
Who knows? The Dead Good Readers Awards again next year? :D
