We’re nearly there - 3% away from fully funded…
If you know of anyone interested in a cracking thriller set in Brazil, I’d really appreciate you putting it out there on Twitter, Facebook etc. As ever, pledges start from as little as £10.
I know many of The Burning Hill supporters (thank you family and friends!) but I don’t recognise all of you - please do drop me a line if you would like to get in touch and ask any questions (posting a reply to this update on the Unbound site is probably the quickest way, or tweet me @brazil_thriller ).
Whilst I am crowdfunding a novel set in Rio, favela residents in Rio are now crowdsourcing with a phone app to avoid violence, which has surged in the wake of the Olympics. Called Fogo Cruzado (literally Crossfire) it has gained 110,000 users since launching last year. Reporting an average of 17 gunfire incidents per day this year, users can view an interactive map showing trouble spots so they can avoid them.
Brazilian ingenuity.
