Cover design on the way

We're getting there! Progress was slowed over the summer with a family trip to Brazil but I got the final, final proof back to Unbound a few weeks ago. The cover design process is underway and I've just had draft ideas back from Mark Ecob http://mecob.co.uk/ , who creates fantastic covers (for Iain Banks amongst others). I'd love to share the design ideas with you but copyright protection forbids at this stage. Once Unbound have added their suggestions to my suggestions, Mark will produce a final version which I will share with you.

In the meantime, I believe Unbound will be confirming with you this week how you wish your name(s) to appear in the book. Unbound are touting The Burning Hill on Twitter as a 'taut crime thriller' which I rather like. So, if you know of anyone that might like to get their hands on an early copy of a taut crime thriller with their name in it, they've only got until this Thursday (13 Sep) to do it - just point them to my page on the Unbound website https://unbound.com/books/the-burning-hill and they can click the Pledge button.

More news soon... hopefully. While you are waiting, I attach a pic of the giant otters that we saw on hols in the Pantanal. One of my very favourite animals. Oh, and an anaconda that we found one morning in the stream outside our room in Bonito. Nothing to write home about, this one, according to the Brazilians. Just a baby at 2.5m...
